The event will be held in family-outdoors open homes in Kailahun District and Kenema.
During the event the concepts and ideologies of Slow Food will be showcased, together with information on how family farms are being helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeds, traditional dishes and the importance of biodiversity are some of the topics under discussion. The focus will be on the development and deployment of traditional tools to enable local food growers to make good, clean and fair decisions in terms of farm practices. A great learning experience, during which agronomists will be able to interact and exchange ideas with local indigenous food growers. It will also be the occasion to show participants the latest seeds preservation techniques, including a vegetable demo plot.
