Bees have an essential agro-ecosystemic role but are unfortunately increasingly under threat due to climate change and increasing anthropogenic pressures. Beekeeping therefore proves to be fundamental.
Especially in mountain areas, where beekeepers play an important role in protecting the territory and preserving biodiversity by producing an excellent nutraceutical product. The working table aims to discuss critical issues and strengths of beekeeping in the mountains, starting from the results of a recent study on the characterization of the Alpine millefiori, also thanks to the collaboration with some producers who are members of the Slow Food High Alpine Honeys Presidium.
