Whitin the Good Food Good Farming – European Days of Action initiative, youth in Turda will gather around food, bringing pots and pans to cook out a revolution against food waste.
Local producers and chefs will join the event and, together with students from the Josika Miklos Highschool in Turda, they will cook the beautiful “ugly” ingredients in a tasty, colorful and flavorful meal. Herbs and vegetables from the “Viata in gradina verde – Life in the green garden” school garden, which started in 2009 as Slow Food Turda’s first official Slow Food Project, will be used. Stories about people, places and traditions will be shared over the meal with particular attention to the Aries Valley Red Onion, listed in the Slow Food Ark of Taste.
