This event will be the first of a series of cooking demos aiming at delivering high-quality educational and training activities, to improve knowledge about food waste and to impact people’s practices and choices.
Local chefs will be involved in cooking classes to learn about food traditions, skills and food history. This first class will be held by Chef Sibel Pinto – a renowned culinary instructor and researcher who founded “Action Kashkarikas” to raise awareness on food waste and food loss. Through some theory and practice, participants will learn innovative and tasty ways to reduce food waste and improve their knowledge on how to make better use of ingredients. The event will also be a unique opportunity to discover other countries and cultures, as the Slow Food network links producers from across the globe and taste workshops/tastings featuring producers from other countries represent a way to travel the world from home.
