Participants, guided by Kantina Arberi, will also have the possibility to learn about and taste two different wines made from indigenous grapes, along with some cheeses from the Tirana area. Chef Bleri Dervishi will use some products included in the Ark of Taste international catalogue: Olive oil from Tirana White Olives, Lekbibaj Creeping Beans, Wine made from Sheshi i Bardhe grape cultivar, Mountain Tea and Cirnel Rehani. People will also get acquainted to some products (wild fruits, veggies and preserves) that grow in the territory of Tirana region but that, due to globalization and imports, are not properly recognized.
The primary goal of the event will be to share with people interested and involved in food issues the prosperity and diversity of nature in the Tirana area. At the same time, the purpose of this dinner is to cook and share old fashioned dishes that many young people and children do not even know about, either because their families have forgotten them or have not known them due to migration.
