A meeting about Slow Food Presidia and Ark of Taste products

The program includes:

  • Introduction to the meaning of the Ark of Taste and Presidia products and their importance and relationship with the defence of biodiversity and the environment.
  • Exhibition of the local Presidia and Ark of Taste products.
  • Products’ tasting, including: the Añana Salt, the Zalla Onion, the Rioja Alavesa Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the Montaña Alavesa Apple-Pear, the Rioja Alavesa Vine Peach, the Montaña Alavesa Foal Meat, the Terraña Veal and the Martina Lettuce.
  • Making a Terraña Veal Salad on the spot.

The aim of the event is to promote the tools used by Slow Food to defend biodiversity and a healthy diet.

El programa del evento prevé:

  • Introducción al significado del Arca del Gusto y los Baluartes y su importancia y relación con la defensa de la biodiversidad y del medio ambiente.
  • Exposición de los productos del Arca y Baluartes locales.
  • Degustación de los productos, incluyendo: el Sal de Salinas de Añana, la Cebolla de Zalla, el Aceite de Rioja Alavesa, la Manzana-Pera, el Melocotón de Viña, el Potro de la Montaña Alavesa, la Ternera Terraña y la Lechuga Martina.
  • Elaboración insitu de una ensalada de Ternera Terraña.

El objetivo del evento es la difusión de los instrumentos utilizados por Slow Food para la defensa de la biodiversidad y fomentar una alimentación saludable.
