The Piedmont model to relaunch Italy: biodiversity, eno-gastronomy, hospitality, and the search of good, clean and fair sustainability.

“If the world can’t come to Turin and Piedmont for Terra Madre 2020, we’ll bring Turin and Piedmont to the world.” With this idea, Slow Food started to construct this special edition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto in the age of Covid-19.

The event has become digital, with lots of content and formats that will be available online from October 8, transforming the physicality of the event into a myriad of events spread across the world. More importantly, it’ll be stretched in time: what was once a five-day event becomes six months of activity: the event calendar is in continuous evolution, and our aim is to be able to culminate this journey with the Slow Food International Congress in April 2021 in Turin.

We start from Piedmont, with a reflection on the challenges that we face and the ideas that the economic, political and social systems of the region will need to put into action. Our focus is the point of view that Terra Madre has taught us take into ever great consideration, from 2004 to today.
