Birrificio Sagrin

Sagrin craft brewery is located in Calamandrana, Piedmont, in a territory whose identity is deeply connected to the excellence of its winemaking production, at the crossroads of the UNESCO areas of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.

The two partners Matteo “Billy” Billia and Giuseppe Luci designed the plant by themselves, following their twenty years’ experience and passion for brewing. The plant became productive in 2015 with the ambition of combining the winemaking tradition of the territory with the creative approach of craft brewing.

Following the objective, the production was divided into three brands:

BunPat

  • Blonde: with American hops
  • Red: with New Zealand hops
  • Session APA: with South African hops

The main feature of these beers is their unique freshness. They all have a low alcohol content, and each batch is certified as gluten free.

Sagrin Classics

  • Malefica: Belgian Strong Ale
  • Bacialè: Blache, seasoned with fresh mint leaves and lemon zest
  • Livertin: classic Imperial IPA
  • Extintion: modern style IPA
  • Mattos: Imperial Coffee Stout

Italian Grape Ales

The beating heart of the brewery. These beers are made adding fresh wine must to the beer batch at the beginning of the fermentation, thanks to the collaboration with some of the best wineries of our territory.

  • Samos: with Moscato must (Dogliotti 1870)
  • Roè: with Arneis must (Valfaccenda)
  • Monfrà: with Barbera must (Cascina Garitina)
  • Q+: also this beers features Moscato must (Dogliotti 1870), but thanks to a different method, similar to the one used for sparkling wines.
