The brewery was born in Rapolano Terme, in the suggestive territory of the Crete Senesi, an area known for its barren landscapes, moved by gently undulating hills, with a mainly agricultural vocation, where the cultivation of cereals has deep historical roots. With our passion for beer, we intend to enhance the experience of over twenty years in the production of fine varieties of organic cereals.
We use only organic raw materials, with authentic tastes and fragrances, but this is not enough for us: we make craft beer taking care of every detail, from the brew day to the refinement.
Our beers are neither filtered nor pasteurized, to keep intact all the elements that contribute to the final organoleptic result. The production starts from the cultivation of raw materials: the choice of a real short supply chain means that every beer has a deep bond with the place where it is born. Hence we say “you drink what you sow”.
Our first objective is to brew excellent craft beers, all balanced and never banal, from the simplest to the most complex. Balance is the common denominator of our beers, the hallmark of La Stecciaia, which makes beers easy to drink and which has allowed us to obtain important awards at Birra dell’Anno 2019 competition and in Slow Food’s Guide to Beers of Italy 2019.
The use of raw materials free of residues of chemical fertilizers and pesticides allows us to preserve a heritage of genuine fragrances and flavors, not modified by the use of these substances. Raw materials that are healthier for man and the environment around us.
Organic certification is not a goal for us, but a natural consequence of our own philosophy.
