The 30-hectare estate lies in the hills not far from Lake Garda. Although near the lake, the area is influenced by the cold winds blowing down in the morning from the north, giving the growing area a distinctive climate, and my wines reflect very strongly these unique weather conditions.
I began producing wines in 1984, focusing on the local indigenous grape varieties, that are Corvina, Rondinella, and Garganega.
I make wine only from my own grapes, and my wines reflect my own experiments and research over the years. Certainly my wines were not so much market oriented, but those are the wines I love. Bardolino and our rosè Chiaretto are a blend of local varieties.
