Pausa Café is a unique example of social inclusion realized through the production and commercialization of products such as high-quality coffee, artisanal beers and bakery goods.
Our products are “excellent and ethical”: we are driven by the constant research for the best flavor, social inclusion and environmental sustainability of our productions. Pausa Café created an international partnership between producers, vulnerable workers and consumers, giving a fair price to producers, providing a decent job to disadvantaged workers and ensuring a “good, clean and fair” product to consumers.
Our coffee comes from producers’ cooperatives of Slow Food International Presidia in Central America, directly imported with fair price and roasted entirely inside a state prison, in Italy. In the same way, inside prisons, we produce artisanal beers rediscovering traditional recipes, and we bake organic bread and breadsticks in a wood oven, using sourdough fermentation.
